Since 1987 Elmeridge Cables Limited have been supplying custom-made cables to the aviation industry, and specifically to airports from 1990 onwards.

With the support of Ericsson Power Cables of Sweden and Lynenwerk GmbH in Germany, we entered the market by supplying airfield lighting cables in 3.3kV and 6.6kV, and 400Hz starter cables.

Since then, our team have supplied Manchester Airport and Birmingham Airport, leading to more enquiries across Europe. Most recently, through several electrical contractors, we supplied cables into the new airport at Larnaca, Cyprus.

As you would expect from a leading cable company, all our aviation cables come fully approved and are low smoke, zero-halogen. These can be produced with a full flame-retardant jacket to IEC 331 horizontal flame test at 750 degrees for 3 hours, also IEC 332 vertical flame propagation test for a single wire that is flame-retardant.
